
Stefan Besling, Vice President Engineering
As Vice President of Engineering, Stefan Besling provides leadership for VoiceObjects’ software development team and is responsible for delivering product releases. Prior to joining VoiceObjects, Stefan worked in Silicon Valley for a number of years first as co-founder of a Philips Electronics spin-off focused on voice-controlled multimodal applications for mobile devices and then as Director Voice Applications for YY Technologies, a company providing a Web and email-based self service platform. Stefan has a background in speech recognition technology and held development and research roles at Philips Speech Processing and Philips Research.

Michael Codini, Chief Technology Officer and Managing Director EMEA
As a founder of VoiceObjects, Michael is responsible for defining the company’s technology vision and strategy. Prior to joining VoiceObjects, Michael Codini lead the consulting organization for MicroStrategy Germany and later coordinated the development effort as Senior Program Manager for MicroStrategy’s Intelligence Server, their flagship product in business analytics. Michael also held positions in IBM’s Data Warehouse group. He has received a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Darmstadt.

Michael Gill, Director Product Management
Michael Gill joined VoiceObjects in 2001 and currently holds the position of Director Product Management, driving the product roadmap and the introduction of new products. Prior to VoiceObjects, Michael was senior consultant for MicroStrategy where he successfully managed various business intelligence and CRM projects, primarily in the financial and telecommunications industry. Additional areas of expertise are quality management, Internet technologies and Web development.

Tobias Göbel, Senior Pre-Sales Consultant
Having worked as partner consultant as well as program manager for the VoiceObjects Server product since 2003, Tobias has a strong background in phone application environments based on VoiceXML, IV(V)R, mobile Web, and USSD. In May 2008, he joined the EMEA pre-sales team. Tobias holds a master degree in computational linguistics, phonetics, and computer science.

Volker Kraft, Manager Education Services
Volker Kraft is active in the field of speech and telecommunications for more than 20 years now. After several years participating in German and European speech research projects he got a PhD in speech synthesis from Ruhr-University Bochum. From 1995 until 2000 Volker was responsible for speech platforms and applications at Vodafone D2 in Germany, developing several key self-services based on technology from Nortel, Intervoice, Comverse and Nuance. At Vodafone Global he worked on quality management and speech technology standardization for Vodafone worldwide, before moving to VoiceObjects in 2002. As VoiceObjects’ Education Services Manager, Volker is responsible for external partner and customer training and certification as well as for internal education.

Martin Mauelshagen, Program Manager
As Program Manager, Martin Mauelshagen defines and supervises new features for VoiceObjects Desktop and VoiceObjects Developer Edition. Martin’s extensive experience with customer projects, training, and support allows him to efficiently and accurately translate user requirements into technical specifications and documentation. Martin joined VoiceObjects in 2004 and holds a Master’s Degree in Business Informatics.

Andreas Volmer - Presales Manager EMEA
In his role as Presales Manager, Andreas plans and implements pilot projects, integrates VoiceObjects with different IT infrastructures, moderates workshops, and supports customers in planning the rollout of new phone-based self services. He has been a professional in the software industry for more than 10 years now, working in such diverse roles as software architect, project manager, consultant and sales engineer. Prior to VoiceObjects, he worked for milestone Software GmbH, Neuss, and for Segue Software, an a software test automation tool vendor. He holds a PhD in theoretical physics from the University of Cologne.
